The Mural Arts program teaches methods and systems of development, creation and reproduction in the different artistic techniques and media used in this specialization, Students carry out projects related with the pictorial and mural  environment, experiment with new procedures and materials and consider the plastic, artistic, technical and economic aspects of work proposals.

Upon completing the program, graduates will be in charge, among other things, of carrying out and directing pictorial and mural works projected by students or professionals, planning and drawing up artistic environments and installations, and researching and investigating materials and processes of both a traditional and technological nature.

Career opportunities with the Certificate in Mural Arts include a variety of activities and procedures in the arts as applied to walls and murals. Mural artists can work as freelance professionals or in association (to different degrees) with a workshop, multidisciplinary team or company. Activities can include:

  • Design and production of pictorial works in all sorts of materials and on a variety of supports

  • Reproduction and recreation of works

  • Artistic installations: set design, props and ornamentation for theater, cinema, television, multimedia productions and infography and for different instances of artistic performance and expression.

  • Promotion and management of the artist’s own works and/or those of others.

  • With a Certificate of Advanced Vocational Training in Fine Arts & Design, graduates can also continue related studies at university. See "Opportunities for Further Study".

With the Advanced Vocational Training Certificate you are eligible for the following university studies:
-Architectural Technician Studies
-Education / Teacher Training (3-year university degree or diplomatura)
-Advanced Fine Arts and Design Studies, with a qualification equivalent to a 3-year university degree or diplomatura (specializations: Fashion Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design)
-Undergraduate studies in Fine Arts (Bachelor’s Degree)
-Undergraduate studies in History (Bachelor’s Degree)
-Undergraduate studies in History of Art (Bachelor’s Degree)
