The Model-Making and Prototyping program provides the knowledge necessary for training professionals capable of creating 3D computer models, physical models and prototypes to show the volumetric design of a project, and of participating in determining the shape properties of objects in order to make them more comprehensible and, if necessary, facilitate their serial reproduction.
Work in this field involves, among other things, tasks relating to creating mock-ups, models, CAD models and prototypes, the volumetric translation of ideas and projects from 2-dimensional blueprints, creative interpretation of diagrams and sketches, and the detection of possible manufacturing difficulties through computer-generated and physical models.
