BIP Programs 2026-27

Following the proposal to improve the school’s internationalisation and building on the previous two editions, this academic year we have planned four Blended Intensive Programmes.

These short Erasmus+ projects combine online activities with a brief physical mobility, encouraging teamwork in international and interdisciplinary groups as well as sustainable and inclusive practices.

These are the proposals:

  1. BIP Ceramics, from 8 to 17 March 2023. Based on the work of former students Joan Miró and Llorenç Artigas, this programme offers an introduction to Catalan ceramics, also considering the influences of Surrealism and the Mingei movement.
  2. BIP Lithography, from 9 to 13 February 2027, co‑organised with the Escola d’Art d’Olot. It is based on the lithographs of Joan Miró and the volcanic landscapes of La Garrotxa, linking local art traditions with an international student group.
  3. BIP Sculpture and Land Art, during the last week of February. Inspired by the work of the art‑architect and former Llotja student Antoni Gaudí, students will create an installation in the Mediterranean forest of La Comella, connecting local landscape, traditional techniques, and contemporary art.
  4. BIP Fashion and Sustainability, in mid‑April. Also based on the work of Antoni Gaudí, this programme explores biomaterials, upcycling, and circular design as ways to promote more responsible and sustainable fashion practices.
