In a context where higher art education is becoming increasingly international mobilities, how can we still promote local culture? How have superior art schools tackled this question?
- How can we integrate students in local society in a time of growing international integration?
- How can we represent multiple identities and diverse narratives in order to understand today’s world in an increasingly global environment and reduccionist cultural representations?
- How can we preserve local languages in relation to the prevalence as English as the language of tuition?
- How can we defend democratic values, gender, social and cultural differences, and human rights in the face of the international rise of the far right?
Over three days, we propose to work together to find answers to these challenges. We’ll also look at different experiences, such as those at the Llotja School through its BIP (Blended Intensive Programme), which builds on notable local alumni like Gaudí, Miró and Picasso.
Participants: Aimed at a group of 15 people. between international coordinators, interested staff or phd students.
