L’exposició que tindrà lloc pròximament a la galeria Villa del Arte commemora el 250è aniversari de l’Escola Superior d’Art i Disseny Llotja mitjançant la presentació d’una selecció destacada d’alumnat internacional, entre els quals s’inclouen figures com Jaume Plensa, Noemí Palacios, Núria Guinovart, Albert Espona i Roger Coll. Així mateix, l’exposició reunirà obres d’altres artistes de reconegut prestigi vinculats a Llotja i a la galeria, com ara Isao, Lluís Cera i Annalù Boeretto.

L’objectiu de l’exposició és promoure una reflexió entorn del procés de transmissió de coneixement i habilitats artístiques propis de l’Escola Llotja, i analitzar com aquests s’han reinterpretat i materialitzat en les pràctiques dels artistes contemporanis. L’exposició posa de manifest la vigència del llegat pedagògic i artístic de Llotja i la seva projecció en l’escena artística internacional, tot evidenciant com els valors formatius de l’escola continuen incidint en les tendències creatives actuals.
Així mateix, l’exposició preveu un espai específic dedicat a l’alumnat actual del centre, amb l’objectiu d’afavorir la seva inserció en el context de l’art contemporani internacional i oferir-los l’oportunitat de donar visibilitat a les seves propostes davant d’un públic global.
Aquesta mostra forma part del programa d’activitats commemoratives del 250è aniversari de l’Escola Llotja, una de les institucions d’ensenyament artístic més antigues d’Europa. L’exposició ha estat comissariada per la galeria Villa del Arte i l’Oficina de Relacions Internacionals de Llotja, sota la coordinació de Jordi Guillemí, coordinador internacional i artista plàstic vinculat a la galeria.
The upcoming exhibition at Villa del Arte Gallery celebrates the 250th anniversary of Llotja High Art School by presenting a distinguished collection of international alumni such as Jaume Plensa, Noemí Palacios, Núria Guinovart, Albert Espona and Roger Coll. The exhibition will also feature works by other influential figures associated with Llotja and the gallery such as Isao, Lluís Cera and Annalù Boeretto.
The exhibition aims to encourage reflection on the transmission of knowledge and skills from Llotja School and how these have been reinterpreted and manifested in the works of contemporary artists. It highlights the enduring influence of Llotja’s legacy on the global art scene and demonstrates how the school’s principles continue to shape current artistic practices.
Additionally, the exhibition will dedicate a space for current Llotja students, offering them the opportunity to engage with the international art market and present their work to a global audience.
The exhibition is part of a series of events marking the 250th anniversary of Llotja School, one of Europe’s oldest educational institutions in the arts. It has been curated by Villa del Arte and the International Office of Llotja school through Jordi Guillemí, International coordinator and plastic artist linked with the gallery.
