What kinds of facilities are available?

At both its premises, the Llotja School has exhibit spaces that allow students’ projects to be viewed, and it also has agreements with other exhibit spaces to generate an exchange of ideas.

Located at the Sant Andreu campus, La NauU is a large exhibit space with over 300m2 of floor space that can host exhibits from other art centers such as Designforobama.com or Agitadors de Conciència. Our students can use this space to test and investigate performance and large-format installation processes.

The small Sabater Pi exhibit space for illustration is used for academic exchange between the numerous students who have chosen illustration as a tool for expression and work and the rest of the Llotja student body. Egosurfejant (Egosurfing) was the inaugural show.

Moreover, the School’s corridors and other areas are often used as well for student installations and interventions with the aim of interdisciplinary academic exchange.

The EAD Llotja has two libraries – one at each of our premises, holding over 13,000 volumes, including books, magazines, journals, catalogues and other publications, which are available to the student body as well as faculty and alumni. The collection ranges from incunabula from the beginnings of the School’s existence to contemporary publications.

The holdings are divided between the two locations as follows: the Ciutat de Balaguer library specializes in all spheres of design and architecture, while the Sant Andreu library specializes in the fine arts.

Both libraries are open to the general public as well for on-site consultation of holdings.

There is Internet Access in the School.
